Aston Martin Zagato Concept (and a bit of DB11)

I was out on the bike this morning in preparation for a few up coming events. It was a beautiful morning and there were plenty of cyclists out making for a great buzz. There were also a few guys with a different idea for the morning and they were hitting the tarmac a lot faster than us in some nice cars. On a small windy coastal road a stunning, brand new 2016 SL400 overtook us in a heartbeat, it’s V6 blaring past. We were ooggling it as it went past but then we hear a much more satisfying roar coming up behind us hot on the heels of the Merc. An 11 year old Aston Martin DB9 throttles past with the most beautiful sound coming from its 5.9L V12 engine.

Never mind the Merc now, even as an 11 year old car that Aston tearing by made my day. What a sound!

That’s the thing about Astons, they never fail to impress and they always have that covetable appeal whether the looks, the sound or just plain because it’s an Aston Martin.

GRAN TURISMO is back! – Trailer

Absolutely cannot wait for this!

Gran Turismo Sport is the newly announced, upcoming addition to the series. Due in November the new game is much anticipated as the brand literally holds the cornerstone for automotive racing games.

We grew up playing all of the earlier GTs and have been praying for a PS4 GT since the PS4 was announced.

Looking like a complete start from scratch game the attention to detail appears to be endless if the spectacular trailer is anything to go by.

Who doen’t like hitting stuff?

We love hitting stuff. And we love well designed products. Here’s the best of both.

Tools are great, we’re big tool nerds and while we might not have huge budgets to buy all the expensive specialized tools out there we happily appreciate and drool over new tool porn.

Hammers, probably the most simple and oldest form of tool haven’t really changed much since ever, but recently there have been a slew of new hammers bringing high-tec materials to the mix with lightweight composites and shock absorbing designs. Fiskars new ISOCORE range seems to be leading the way in terms of look and functionality.

Featuring their recognisable colour-set their new hammers cover a range of uses and range in price from about 40-70 dollars depending on size.

Basically an AMG Qashqai

We all know the crossover market has been going mad the last few years and every car maker has been jumping on the bandwagon. Mercedes released the GLC not so long ago and now AMG has gotten their awesome little tweaking, horsepower-creating hands on it.

Behold the AMG GLC 43.

Twin-turbo 3L V6 animal with 363 horses and lots of torque. It doesnt look too bad either… for a mercedes.

Smart anything.

We love the smart revolution that’s happening over the last few years. It’s great to see the slew of new products that are bringing little bits of connected smartness to various devices and products that have always been dumb products. It’s a little haphazard at the moment however; with smart this and smart that coming out when it’s not entirely clear if it’s even necessary to have a particular smart product. “Smart” technology is finding it’s feet I guess and after a while it will probably become ubiquitous for products to be “Smart” and connected and they will no longer be referred to as Smart. They just will be.

Tables won’t be smart tables, they’ll just charge your personal devices and sync data and display metrics and record stats and offer personalised content for whoever is sitting at them. Car’s will become so smart that I can see steering wheels disappearing and we can expect scenes like in iRobot where cars tailgate autonomously in cavalcades along highways efficiently traveling at highspeed and ejecting individual cars when they need to get off for their destination. Drones will probably become every-day items and you’ll probably never have to walk your dog again, your drone will do it or some kind of “Smart” collar. Video after the break 

2017 Audi A5

Did you know it has been 10 years since the Audi A5 hit the market? Ya, I didn’t either… well, it will be ten in 2017, but the new model is previewed already. It really doesn’t seem like we have had this car for a decade considering it still looks fresh and sprightly. There must be some great deals going on original 2007 models, albeit with a fair few miles on the clock.

We’ve been admiring A5’s for years and while the rest of the Audi lineup has been
enjoying refreshes and facelifts the A5 hasn’t really had anything. Some would say they were working

VERY VERY VERY Excited about VR racing.

Apparently, according to a leaked source, a new version of Driveclub is going to be released for PS4 which will be VR compatible, just in time for the launch of Sonys Playstation VR system.

We’ve been very excited about the up and coming new Gran Turismo game and have talked about the hope of them including a VR mode in GT however we feel like this is unlikely. GT usually focuses on it’s core offerings and we can’t imagine them jumping on the VR bandwagon straight away.

However we are craving a VR racing game and having played Driveclub for PS4 since it’s release we’re happy enough in the hope that the next Driveclub will be VR compatible. It’s a pretty good game. We just can’t wait to experience the above view n 360degrees with a steering wheel, on the couch in (almost) real life graphics. Bring. It. On.

Harvester Scout [Crave}

This is a damn pretty truck. We’re going through a bit of a mega truck craving phase at the moment so we got really excited when we saw this. The original Scout was pretty good looking anyway but the guys at Anything Scout have really done a fab job bringing this one to the next level. Rebuilt on a Wrangler Chassis and with a 480BHP V8 its really ready to take on your next trip to the supermarket.

This Ducati M1100 is an ANIMAL!

Modded by aftermarket company K-Speed Customs from Thailand this Ducati has been almost completely rebuilt.  Not much to say about it other than druuuueeeeellllll….

 

The best just got better. BOSE QC35

Bose’s QC25 headphones have really been the best thing in noise canceling over ear headphones on the market for quite some time now. Essential for long flights, epic productive work sessions and just generally enjoying your jams wherever you are.
